Welcome to our community house
Let us introduce you our community house called 'Katoppa'. It is situated in Oulu city centre, Kauppurienkatu 23. You are warmly welcome to visit our premises at Katoppa community house. Come and read here our local newspaper, play piano or just come and chill whilst having a nice cup of coffee and a pastry.

Our opening times are from Monday to Friday at 9 am to 3 pm. Delicious homemade food is served daily at lunchtimes to a very competitive price of €4,50. Our menu and other additional information can be found on our web site at www.katoppa.fi and we are now on Facebook too!
We also provide PC's for your use and the surfing in the internet is free of charge.
Katoppa-asukastupa and Meritulli-Heinäpää residents’ association gathers together the area’s residents in order to enhance the community and feeling of the area and well-being of its residents.
It represents the expert knowledge of the area on behalf of its residents, and provides access to the public services for residents of all ages. It also distributes information and organizes educational and recreational activities.
Our services
Our services include PC- and digital help at your own home and a wide variety of different PC courses on a very reasonable price.
Our home cleaning service is been privatized to a recently established social business, (Ektakompus Oy, telephone +358 44 705 7055), from the 1st of August 2011. Our staff at Katoppa-asukastupa is still able to provide assistance service to our customers i.e. during their doctor and dentist appointments. To book this assistance services please contact our office on +358 50 4040 957 on our opening times.
Our professional sewing service is been offered to your convenience and to a very reasonable price too! If you have a need to mend your clothing please bring them to our staff and we will contact you when the alteration to your clothing is done. We do provide made to measure clothing service.
We do offer conference and meeting rooms. For enquiries and price details please contact our friendly office staff.
There are also many other activities available depending on your own interests. Please see our web site for weekly held activities.
Currently we accept cash only but we are in a process of getting a bank card System.
Please join our growing group of voluntary people
We do offer voluntary work for those active residents who are willing to contribute to a good cause and have some spare time. You may join Meritulli-Heinäpää residents´ association. Our affordable membership fee allows you to some discounts and interests.
Katoppa-asukastupa as the other Oulu region community houses is also a part of the municipal Service Network Plan of Oulu, whose objectives reach until the year 2020.
